Materials research by the collaboration of data science, computational science, and experiments

Abstract

In materials research, attention is attracted by so-called materials informatics, which conducts research and development typically using machine learning of experimental databases or large data obtained by computer simulations. In Japan, research is proceeding with projects such as JST PRESTO and NIMS MI^2I. In this lecture, we focus on the results at PRESTO and outline the current situation in this research field.
