Two patients with impacted teeth at the sites of the 2nd and 3rd molars of the maxilla and mandible on the right and left sides were reported.
A 20-year-old male who came to our department because of delayed eruption at 17, 27, 37, and 47. Although partial eruption of 17 and 27 was observed, 18, 28, 37, 38, 47, and 48 were completely veneered with intact gingiva.
A 28-year-old male who visited our department with a chief complaint of uneruption at the sites of 17, 18, 27, 28, 37, 38, 47 and 48 on the right and left sides. All these molars were completely veneered with intact gingiva.
There are only 12 reported cases with impacted molars, including our cases, in Japan. Therefore, cases with multiple impacted teeth are considered to be extremely rare.
