Recently, the results of treatment in patients with chronic renal failure have improved owing to progress in the hemodialysis system. Accordingly, the number of dialysis patients has increased. Dialysis patients tend to have a high incidence of malignant tumor. As a result, the number of dialysis patients suffering from malignant tumor is expected to increase in the future.
Surgical operations for tongue cancer in two dialysis patients were performed under local or general anesthesia. No serious complications arose during the three operations in the two patients.
Surgical management of malignant tumor in dialysis patients requires careful attention. As a result of control in perioperative periods, it was considered that it could be performed in these patients safety under local or general anesthesia.
