A Eurasian Collared Dove Streptopelia decaocto was observed in Shari Town, north-eastern Hokkaido, Japan, from 25 December 2023 to 29 January 2024. This represents the first record of the species on the main island of Hokkaido and the third record for Hokkaido. The two previous records were from Rebun Island in northwestern Hokkaido.
