The authors have developed a steel-plate concrete composite deck, which consists of the steel-plate, upper re-bars and concrete. The steel plate is stiffened with steel strips and shear studs are welded on the upper surface of the steel plate. The predominant fatigue damage mode of the composite deck was detected as the shear-off failure of studs, and the authors have already estimated the fatigue durability for the simply supported part of the composite deck. In this study, a wheel trucking test and three-dimensional finite element analyses of the overhanging part of the composite deck were conducted, and the measured values and the analytical values were compared. Furthermore, the fatigue durability for the overhanging part of the composite deck were discussed by the deflection characteristics of the specimen and the fatigue damage of the shear studs.
