Abstract
Recently, corrosion on top surface of orthotropic steel deck plate has been often found during the bridge pavement repair work in urban expressway. Repair methods for these damages are required to be finished quickly, for example within one or two hours, during the pavement repair work. The authors focused on the steel patch plates bonding repair method with adhesive from the top surface on one side. In this study, cantilever bending tests and FE analysis were carried out and stress behavior of repaired part was discussed. Besides, simple equations for designing of thickness and length of patch plate were proposed.
