The purpose of this study is to obtain some valuable information for the seismic design of precast concrete members by PC-press joint method. To investigate the evaluation on mechanical behavior of the PC-press joint, the bending test on slab specimens jointed by PC-press joint method comparing with the conventional sleeve rebar joint method. The following conclusions are based on the test results; 1) The residual deformation and the extent of damage in the PC-press joint is significantly less than in the conventional sleeve rebar joint. 2) Rotational spring constants for the post region of level 2 earthquake motion can be estimated by FE analysis. 3) The bending moment in the joint under the L2 earthquake motion can be decreased by more than 20%, by using the rotational spring connection in design.
