There is a need for a method to evaluate the static strength of adhesive joints because of the lack of a standard test method. In this study, a test device was fabricated and tested to develop a simple test method for the evaluation of static strength of adhesive joints between steel members under combined stresses. The test results showed that the strength was low under combined stress, and the correlation of bond strength was close to a linear envelope because the variation increased as the ratio of normal stress in the stress components increased. In addition, it was confirmed that the proposed method can be used to evaluate adhesive joints.
