Electrocoagulation of water soluble fish protein by a continuous flow method without any coagulant was studied. The pH value of the anolyte at steady state operation, pHs, plays an important role in the design and/or operation of equipment. The factors which affect pHs are the protein concentration of feed liquid, flow rate of anolyte, and electric current. A function which correlates these factors was determined experimentally by use of a simple model of coagulation. A nomograph for estimation of the current required to maintain the anolyte at a selected pHs value was given.
