Abstract
A method of analysis was developed to estimate biomass and yield of Sakhalin surf clam Spisula sachalinensis through fishing season in dredge fishery.
This model is based on successive growth process of shell size, and composed of three fundamental equations: biomass change, yield, and growth speed of the shell during the fishing season.
Solving the three equations simultaneously, the biomass and CPUE are calculated successively at each time. When applied to actual data of the dredge fishery, the method was found highly valid.
