This report covers part of experiments which have been carried out to elucidate the foundamental properties of isotllermal evaporation at 110°C for the natural gas brine and the ion-exchange membrane brine. In these experiments, the isotherms and invariant pohlts at 110°C of the ternary system KCl-MgCl2-H2O and the quaternary system KCI-MgCl2-CaCl2-H2O were obtained.
As are sult, it was found that for the ternary system KCI-MgCl2-H2O, the values of the isotherms became greater in similar formsas temperature rose, that is, at 50°C, 75°C, and 110°C, and that the values of potassium chloride and magnesium chloride of the invariant points were greater likewise.
In the case of the quaternary system KCl-MgCl2-CaCl2-H2O, it was found that the values at the invariant points T, V, amd W for potassium chloride and magnesium chloride increased but thevalues for calcium chloride decreased. However, as for V at 75°C and U1 and U2 at 110°C, the value for potassium chloride proved to be decreased, whereas that for magnesium chloride proved to be increased. In the case of calcium chlofide, value at U1 was decreased, and the value at U2 was increased. As temperature rose, the crystallization region of the double salt CaCl2·KCl became larger, where as that of MgCl2·6H2O was much smaller.
