Abstract
This paper proposes a framework for theoretical and systematic study of service engineering. In the framework, a service is called primitive service when a human (donor) offers a service to another human (receptor), and service effect occurs when a receptor receives the donated service. The primitive service is unrelated to economy. Conventional service is amplified primitive service by some media. Service industry is generated by the amplification and networking of primitive services in economical society.
