Air samplers of the Gifu-Aichi Electric Co. Ltd. were used in the field test of stack gas diffusion. They are handy and easy to use. Sampling was made automatically and continuously by the sampler which was driven by a battery.
In a preliminary test made in the laboratory, flow rate of sample gas was constant for more than 100 hours. In the field test troubles happened in the speed of sample gas flow and about 2-5% of data were abandoned. Therefore the checks were necessary to examine running of the sampler. Since these troubles were not important the sampler could be used in the field test of stack gas diffusion.
