Abstract
A 59-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital due to focal wall thickening of the gallbladder, which was detected by ultrasonography (US). Upon further examination (endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), abdomen CT, Cytology of gallbladder lavage fluid (CGLF)), this was not thought to be gallbladder cancer. Furthermore, we followed up by EUS at six-month intervals. After one year and eight months, the same location developed non-elevated gallbladder wall thickening. For further examination, the patient was admitted to our hospital again and was diagnosed with non-elevated type gallbladder carcinoma by CGLF. An open cholecystectomy was carried out. The pathology organization diagnosis was adenocarcinoma (pap-tub1), m-RASmp, ly0, v0, pn0, pHinf0, 0-II a+II b, Gbf. In order to diagnosis the early non-elevated type gallbladder carcinoma, it is necessary that an examination of short intervals was carefully carried out.
