シリコンおよびクロム金属粉末と炭素繊維との固相反応

By the use of mesophase-pitch and PAN-based carbon fibers with different microstructures heat-treated at different temperatures, solid state reaction between carbon fibers and silicon or chromium metallic powder was examined by the heat-treatment at 1450°C for 3h. The formation of Cr₇C₃ by the reaction between carbon fibers and chromium metallic powder was found on the mesophasepitchbased fibers, but no reaction to PANbased fibers occurred. In the carbon fibers heat-treated in silicon metallic powder, no formation of SiC was found on the all of carbon fibers used in this study.
