抄録

The theoretical formula calculating the temperature rise of the electric furnace for the graphitization was derived and the temperature distribution, the structure of the furnace were discussed by the formula.
The formula was simplified for convenience and the calculation was carried out on the practical furnace by the simplified formula. Thus it was shown thatthetemperature of the center of the furnace could be calculated by the capacity of the furnace (kw) and the appied electric Power (kwh).
Using the actual data and by the method of least squre, the experimental formula to calculate the temperature of the furnace was derived. The results using both theoretical & experimental formula agreed very well.
The formula to calculate the temperature difference and the delay of the temperature rise between cokes & the center of the electrode to be heated was derived. By the formula, it was concluded that the heating velocity of cokes should be inversely proportional to the squre of the diameter of the electrode. The delay of the temperature rise above mensioned was calculated on the practical case and was found to be order of 1 or 2hrs.
