Abstract

Drones have been attractive for its consumer usage. A drone communicates to the ground station to operate flight plans and requires high-quality wireless communication. It is mandatory to understand a quality between drones and base stations. A radio quality of drone flight area also should be understood. This paper proposes methods to estimate received radio quality of a drone body and a drone flight area. It also reports evaluation of the proposed method by using real observed radio data in a drone flight area. The evaluation realized the error between the estimation value and the observed value was about 4 dB.
