Abstract

Epidemic routing, which transmits information spatially without a connected path from source to destination, is applicable to distribution of regional information. In this situation, it is necessary to spread information to the whole area effectively. In the previous paper, the authors modeled the area with flow network and looked at the location problem of fixed information sources considering public space (PS) where people tend to gather. They used the algorithms of the covering problem to find positions of PSs and showed the effectiveness of setting information sources in PSs. Although they assumed that information sources are fixed, it is likely that information sources spread information while circulating in the area, and in that case, it is expected that information can be spread more efficiently.

In this paper, we developed the previous study, introduced information sources that circulate in the area through PSs in the network, and confirmed the result of simulation. The results of the simulation were that information was more spread than if information sources were fixed in PSs or they moved according to Random Waypoint model.
