Abstract
Recently thrombolytic therapy and mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic cerebral stroke improve neurological prognosis of many patients. The most important factor for the improvement is earlier recanalization of occluded vessels, but it takes times to begin optimal treatment in the stroke center after carrying patients from islands to stroke center. Therefore, drip and ship method is widely carried out to decrease the delay for treatment of acute ischemic stroke. In drip and ship method, thrombolytic therapy with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator （ rt-PA ） is beg un at the hospitals in the islands, subsequently patients are transferred to the stroke center . We have 11 patients treated with drip and ship method from Tokyo islands between April 2018 and March 2020. The clinical results were satisfactory with no major complications. But recent changes of evidence for acute ischemic are so busy. Therefore, it is important for more improvement of neurological prognosis of acute cerebral ischemic stoke in Tokyo islands that we share the most up-to-date knowledge with doctors in islands.
