This report is the efforts in the Ogasawara village under the epidemic of the COVID-19.
Ogasawara Village is located 1,000 km south of the capital of Tokyo, and residents on two islands,
Chichijima and Hahajima. The population of Ogasawara Village is 2,500.
When SARS-CoV2 vaccination was approved in Japan and the vaccination for the general public
began, early vaccination was eagerly desired from the perspective of preventing serious illness and
infection, even in Ogasawara village.
Because Ogasawara village is a remote island, there were some challenges in administering
vaccinations. Securing medical personnel and planning efficient vaccination were issues. By resolving
these issues, we were able to perform early vaccination. As a result, it was possible to control the
