Abstract

The rasH2 mouse are produced by two breeding facilities, CLEA Japan, Inc. and Taconic Bioscience. In this study, we investigated the carcinogenic susceptibility of rasH2 mice derived from the two colonies replaced in 2016-2017. A total of 120 rasH2 mice obtained from the two facilities were divided into vehicle and MNU groups. We observed them for maximum 26 weeks, then investigated histopathologically. In MNU group, the incidence of forestomach papilloma/carcinoma was 93.9-100%. Therefore, Carcinogenic conformity of rasH2 mice produced by two facilities was confirmed in the present study.
