Abstract
This paper introduces activities of the Development Engineering Society of Japan (JDES).
JDES was established in 1973, aiming at finding methodology to develop voluntary technology. Four
study groups are active in the following fields: engineering brand, coordination management, busi-
ness innovation, and intellectual property management. Outcomes of four study groups are presented
at annual meeting to promote mutual understanding among the members. JDES publishes journals to
introduce the latest research.
