Abstract
A forum was held on December 3, 2020. The theme of the event is “Current status of advanced medical (biomedical engineering, behavioral neuroeconomics, medical management) research and regional / medical innovation in Hokkaido through its utilization”. The population of Hokkaido is 5.23 million as of 2020, but 2040 the number of people is expected to decrease by 1 million a year. In addition, a polar society has been formed around Sapporo City, and the population density in Hokkaido is low and the aging rate is very high. In the future, the local capital there is a strong concern that it will be difficult to maintain medical infrastructure such as shortage of doctors and closure of clinical departments as well as public transportation and schools in the city. In view of this situation, in this forum, the current state of research in the field of advanced medical care (biomedical engineering, behavioral neuroeconomics, medical management) and the issues of Hokkaido medical care / regional innovation policy in the near future by utilizing it was examined.
