Abstract
We have conducted a mixed qualitative/quantitative approach studies on the impact of community characteristics on the physical and mental health of residents. Here, we report mainly on two studies. One is an analysis of the relationship between regional and gender differences in the increase in suicide rates after Corona and industrial structure. The other is the results of a cohort study on the mental health of children after Corona. In addition, as a suggestion for countermeasures, we report on our research on the function of “alleys” to promote interaction in communities.
