Abstract

By means of Color Difference Meter, I measured the degrees of the color differences, which textile designers tolerate as to the dyed yarns, to be used as shadow fabrics.
As a result, it became clear that the color tolerance between color samples and dyed yarns is generally about 1. 0 NBS unit and that the limit of the tolerance is about 4. 0 NBS unit.Whether color matching is good or bad is deter mined regardless of the uses of dyed yarns.
It is possible, therefore, to determine with Color Difference Meter instead of with the naked eye of designers.
