抄録

We have developed the new automatic controller for the spindle speed within the chase lift and between the build-up amount. We investigate the spinning perfromances of this new controller for 40's cotton combed yarn and discussed the effect of the spindle speed control.
The results are as follows :
(1) The most desirable speed control within the chase lift is that :
- the speed is minimum at the nose portion where the winding angle is small,
- the speed is maximum at the shoulder portion where the winding angle is large, and
- the speed changes continuously from the maximum at the another portions except nose and shoulder.
(2) ±3.5% in the change ratio of the spindle speed within the chase lift is the most effective to decrease the variance of spinning tension. The number of yarn breakages decreases to 1/3 than usual.
(3) To keep the spinning tension constant throughout the doff, speed control between the build-up amount is needed.
