A mathematical model for the market planning has been developed on the basis of the Markovian process of the brand switching . It aims to predict the amount of sales and to determine the number of retail shops to be built in each of marketing areas and within a given period of time. It also aims to make a total profit of retail shops to a maximum. The model is based on the nonlinear programming . Algorithm and computing programme to solve the model under the certain restrictions are developed . An example of the numerical calculation is solved, then the characteristic of each marketing areas and a given period of time for the number of retail shop is discussed.
