The “Dual Pressure Radial Turbine” has been studied on the flow at downstream of the High pressure turbine and Low
pressure turbine intersection. Measurement of velocity and temperature distribution had been conducted at 1 diameter
length downstream of the trailing edge of the turbine wheel. In order to understand those flow phenomena downstream of
the turbine wheel, “the imaginary radius of the boundary between HPT flow and LPT flow” is defined and “the mean
velocities of HPT and LPT” are calculated from these measured velocity and temperature. The characteristics of the imaginary radius and the mean velocity depend on LPT pressure ratio were measured and discussed.
