Abstract

In the modern society, neo-liberal reform has become widespread in the 21st century, and information technology is about to reach a new stage. In this paper, I examine the transformation of the power style and freedom from the viewpoint of media theory. First, we will expand the media concept and divide it into “transmission media / reception media / representative media” and confirm that the modern society was based on various media. Next, I would like to state that todayʼs Internet is not just a transmission medium, it is also a representation medium that promotes the reorganization of the spatio-temporal order, and that it also influences the operating modes of the reception media, including power. And finally, consider what these changes mean for human freedom.
