Abstract

We prepared Cu added Bi subsituted Dy iron garnet films by the RF sputtering method and post annealing. We found that the addition of 3.4% Cu into the garnet increased the coercivity and decreased the grain size. To analyze the medium noise we developed a new method that used CCD imaging system combined with a high resolution microscope.
