Performance of a DBS Receiver with an MSW Signal-to-Noise Enhancer

Abstract

We describe performance of a DBS receiver with an MSW signal-to-noise enhancer. Compare with not using the enhancer receivers, below C/N of 9dB, S/N is enhanced by 2 to 8dB, then the FM threshold level is extended by 2 to 3dB. DG, DP and the baseband amplitude variation are kept below 3deg, 3%, and 2dBp-p.
