A Study of Objective Picture Quality Scale for Television Picture Quality

Abstract

An objective picture quality scale for television pictures is studied. The scale derived from the weighted SNR by three dimensional human visual characteristics and the experimentally obtained subjective picture quality show a good coincidence. Furthermore, the relationship between the temporal change of picture quality and the subjective assessment of picture quality is investigated.
