A generating method of LD-signal for EDTV

Abstract

This paper describes a generating method of a LD-signal for EDTV. An original LD-signal (180 line/field) is limited to 120 TVL and converted to 120 lines per field. Moreover, we can use QAM to transmit this converted LD signal, and reduce an interference to a conventional TV set.
