Mission Profile of Advanced Satellite Broadcasting System on Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite (COMETS)

Abstract

The Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite (COMETS) is planed to launch in February 1997. This paper gives the design performance of COMETS advanced satellite broadcasting mission in 21GHz band. The characteristics of transponder such as multi-beam antenna with beam pointing mechanism and high power TWT amplifier are described.
