Extraction of Depth Information for Scene Description and Its Application

Abstract

In this paper, we propose to exploit depth information for scene description and its application. We estimate depth map by a simple block matching method from 4 pairs of stereo images taken by 5 cameras. Then, we investigate the implication of using the depth information in image processing with some application.
