A New Quantitative Indicator for Visual Fatigue in 3DTV Observers (Part 2)

Abstract

This paper describes a new approach for measuring visual fatigue in 3DTV observers. A new visual fatigue indicator, VFI, was defined as a fall in contrast sensitivity responses in the temporal frequency characteristics of the visual system after watching 3DTV displays. Subjects were required to perform 3DTV image evaluation tasks, and the VFI correlated well with the subjective reports of visual fatigue.
