525-line Progressive Scan Interface Standard

Abstract

525 Progressive Scan Digital Interface Standard has been proposed both in SMPTE(SMPTE293M and 294M) and ARIB(BTA : T1004). This standard provides two interfaces. One is 4 : 2 : 2P, two wire interface, each line is 270Mbps. The other is 4 : 2 : 0P, single wire, 360Mbps. Through compatibility with 525 interlace standard, these interfaces enable the system to minimize the development time and costs as much as possible.
