This paper describes a signal processing method for picture coding using both intra field subsampling and MPEG2 VIDEO (ISO/IEC13818-2) coding. By this method, it becames clear that the Block dstortion and Mosquito noise are reduced. The result shows an improvement over the quality of the pictures, compared with the conventional ones.
