A Magnetic Recording Experiment for Submicron Track Width Using Magnetic Probe.

Abstract

Magnetization of CoCrTa/CoZrTa double layer medium being saturatedly magnetized has been reversed by the scanning probe that is magnetized in opposite direction to the magnetization of the medium. The reversed magnetization width of 0.2 micron has been observed by using bitter developing method and SEM.
