Abstract

The relation between attention and the visual information integration process across a saccade was analyzed. A chinese character was exposed briefly twice. In the second exposure, the location of the square frame exposed in advance to attract attention and that of the character were varied in four ways. As a result, saccadic latency tended to take bimodal distribution, suggesting that attention plays an important role in the visual information integration.
