Standard conversion from MUSE to NTSC is necessary for conventional TVs to receive programs transmitted in the MUSE format. we have developed a system and two ICs that convert the MUSE signal to the NTSC format, and produced SAU-500MN, a MUSE-NTSC con-In this system, only the intra-field signal processing is applied to the whole picture in order to make the cost effective.
