The transmission characteristics of Hi-Vision broadcast reception system play an important role to obtain the maximum picture quality. We made an investigation on various SMATV system configurations for residential buildings and measured transmission characteristics of Hi-Vision signal. This paper describes the measured results and the consideration on correlation between the transmission characteristics and the received Hi-Vision picture quality.
