When one considers printing system as a typical intermedia transfer, one must be careful enough about the human behaviour in hardcopy observation whereby one not only captures the information involved therein, but, at the same time, recognizes intuitively the materials of which that hardcopy is made . The paper first discusses how the differences in the appearances of the photographic print and the lithographic print come from from the viewpoint of composing material. Then, the differences in the image quality attributes between the color transparency images and those printed lithographically are described. Finally, how such differences are treated at the media transfer is discussed.
