The Simulation of the Barrier Ribs Electrode AC Plasma Display

Abstract

Surface-Discharge ac plasma displays have the characteristics such as wide viewing angle ,and they are recognized as leading display devices for full color display with a large areas. A barrier ribs electrode ac plasma display with the new structure of eleetrodes has the advantages of high luminance and high luminous efficiency. Then we analyzed the action of the barrier ribs electrode ac plasma display by the computer,the surface potential distribution ,the wall charge distribution ,and the variation of light emitting region became clear. These result shows that it has the enough memory margin even if the pulse width is short,and doesn't go down the luminance because the discharge finishes short time. so it is effective for high speed drive.
