Abstract

This study is a practical study of learning support focusing on the decoration skill of ceramic products. Special needs schools (intellectual disabilities) have a flexible curriculum organized according to the disability status of the students. The goals and contents of the subject are based on the characteristics of intellectual disability and learning. Ceramic production is an example. In this study, we verified the effectiveness of support methods that contributed to efficient skill improvement based on the transformation of deliverables in work learning. The clumsiness of the intellectual disability/autism spectrum, which is the target student of this study, has been pointed out so far, but in the previous studies, imitation and visual support have contributed to problem solving. The study initially provided similar support, but was sluggish. However, it was used to dramatically improve deliverables by improving visual support. Comparative studies before and after long vacations more clearly suggested the effectiveness of support methods.
