Abstract

This study examines methods for fostering creativity in school education and considers the possibilities and issues of creativity education. In 2019, a team project based on 9 subjects was carried out for 2nd graders (245 people) during the comprehensive inquiry time of the high school where the author works. We considered the process of fostering creativity while taking up the method of class development of the art department team, and analyzed the learning effect from the rubric evaluation. After a year of practice, students discovered new values and issues in the local community, and, to achieve and overcome them, an attitude toward independent learning, and creativity education, was developed. I thought that a creativity theory system was necessary to integrate it into school education, and practiced it based on the “Takamatsu Higashi High School exploratory learning type creativity construction model”. As a result, it was found that it is effective as a model for cultivating creativity through inquiry learning.
