The teachers involved in this paper have been studying the educational effects of using a storehouse with various materials. It was found that the presence of a variety of materials promoted the imagination of children, their play activities, and the diversity of children they interacted with, while at the same time facilitating inclusive education for young children. The intention of this study was to verify the utility of a storehouse for the education of students of a childcare course by comparing two classes of Childcare Expressive Arts, one of university students who were using the storehouse and the other of junior college students who were not. A questionnaire was administered to the students, and the results showed the variety of materials as facilitating the students’ ability to produce many divergent ideas as well as positive attitudes towards the activities. The production of diverse ideas and a positive attitude for the activity in question are thought to be important qualities for childcare workers. Therefore, it was concluded that using the storehouse of various materials in a class of Childcare Expressive Arts is useful for the education of students.
