Research Agenda for Renal Assistance Programs in Japan: Analyzing the Housing Lease Program for the Great East Japan Earthquake Victims in Sendai and Tag 可yo Cit

Abstract

The new housing program leases private rental housing units for those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in Sendai and Tagajyo Cities. By analyzing this new program, I will discuss the following policy agenda for rental assistance programs : (l)the effect on the market; (2) administrative costs; (3) administration authorities; (4)problems with discrimination in the market; (5)housing security and public finance; (6) housing and residential choices; (7)assistance for dispersed residents; and (8)program evaluation.
