Abstract
The effects of medium constituents such as vitamin B complex, purine and pyrimidine bases on the growth and thiaminase production of Bacillus anenrinolyticus was examined, and a new synthetic medium suitable to thiaminase production was established. The activity of thiaminase produced by Bacillus aneurinolyticus in this new medium was over 1.5 times than that on bouillon or in Kimura's C medium.
