INFLUENCES OF TOCOPHEROL ON THE BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF β-CAROTENE AND VITAMIN A : (II) INFLUENCES OF NDGA AND DPPD

Abstract

The influences of NDGA and DPPD on the absorption and utilization of carotene and vitamin A were investigated with young albino rats weighing 30-40g fed on vitamin A and E deficient deit. The result showed that NDGA was not effective, but DPPD had the same effect as tocopherol to enhance the physiological value of carotene and vitamin A.
